Job summary

IKM Consultants AS in Stavanger is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for an offshore modification project. You will design electrical installations, verify design work, and act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) with a focus on NORSOK/ATEX/IEC compliance.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, conduct site surveys, manage MTOs, and interface with vendors. This role requires at least five years in offshore electrical engineering and relevant safety qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering for modification projects, preferably offshore.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design standards (NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, IEC).
• Experience with software and technical requirements used by offshore operators.

Required expertise

• In-depth knowledge of electrical design standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.
• Experience with technical requirements and software used by offshore operators.
• Strong multidisciplinary understanding and a cooperative, solution-oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Valid FSE (Electrical Safety Regulations) certificate for high and low voltage with first aid.
• Valid basic Ex course certificate.
• Valid offshore health certificate and helicopter underwater escape training (HUET).
