Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Cost Controller in Kristiansand to oversee project cost control, reporting, and monthly accounts for clients. You will manage forecasting, subcontractor payments, and vendor invoices across multiple projects under one job code.

The role requires a degree or relevant experience, 3+ years in cost control, Excel proficiency, and strong analytical and communication skills; knowledge of SAP and MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant industry experience.
• 3+ years in a cost control/management role.
• Electrical sector experience is an advantage.
• Excel proficiency required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good oral and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project cost control activities.
• Weekly reporting to site and sector commercial managers and line manager.
• Prepare monthly accounts for the client.
• Forecast cash inwards and outwards.
• Complete month-end reports for projects.
• Allocate costs between projects under one job code.
• Process subcontractor applications and payment certificates.
• Handle car and house rentals and related invoices.
• Invoice cleaning, waste, and warehouse/phone bills for projects.
• Coordinate catering and site rentals; ensure project payments are approved.
• Create and approve purchase orders for hire; reimburse staff travel.
