Senior Construction Project Director

Job summary

Mercury seeks a Project Director for Kristiansand, Norway to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive weekly meetings, audits and client engagements to deliver complex projects on time and on budget. You will ensure EHS compliance, implement Mercury procedures, coordinate training, and prepare weekly project reports and lookahead planning with the planner.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree or recognised trade qualification and 10+ years of experience managing large construction

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification.
• 10+ years' experience of managing large construction projects as a General Contractor.
• Thorough knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages.
• Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.
• Ability to efficiently manage a team by setting expectations, delegation, and review.
• Strong communication & computer skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead weekly meetings with your team, the Design team and the Client.
• Implement Mercury project audit plan and drive closure of findings.
• Ensure EHS alerts are communicated effectively.
• Ensure Mercury Procedures are in place and adhered to on your project.
• Attend client meetings and push QEHS approach.
• Provide training to your team and subcontractors.
• Review weekly progress with the project planner and issue reports.
• Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
