Job summary

PALFINGER MARINE NORWAY AS is seeking a customer-focused technical support specialist to identify spare parts and service solutions for marine equipment. You will collaborate with sales managers, engineers, and customers, combining technical knowledge with clear communication to deliver accurate offers.

The role requires technical vocational education, experience in technical support or spare parts, and strong ERP skills, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Qualifications

• Technical vocational education, short-cycle studies, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience in technical support, service, spare parts, or a sales support environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High degree of flexibility to deliver within project framework.

Responsibilities

• Identify the correct equipment and spare parts required by customers using internal systems, technical information, and historical equipment deliveries.
• Research spare parts for custom-made equipment and contact relevant suppliers or manufacturers when additional information is required.
• Understand customer spare parts needs, including cases where the required part cannot be clearly identified by the customer, and determine the appropriate solution.
• Prepare accurate spare parts offers based on customer requirements and the identified equipment or components.
• Maintain a structured and organized approach to spare parts inquiries, ensuring technical information and customer requests are handled accurately and efficiently.

Join our After Sales and Service team and provide technical support that helps customers identify the right spare parts and service solutions. You will work closely with sales managers, engineers, and customers, combining technical knowledge with clear communication and a service-oriented approach.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to understand customer needs and provide practical technical solutions

Strong communication and presentation skills with a customer-oriented and collaborative mindset

Strong experience working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta)
