Job summary

PALFINGER MARINE is seeking a Service Technician in Vestland, Norway. You will install, commission, and maintain equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance with specifications. The role involves hands-on work across varying sites and frequent travel.

You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Collaboration with customers and colleagues is essential, with meticulous documentation of services performed.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or professional education in a relevant technical field.
• Experience in technical maintenance or service environments.
• Ability to read and apply technical specifications for installation and repair.
• Knowledge of fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Willingness to travel (150+ days).

Are you technically skilled and enjoy working hands-on with equipment? As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation.

Your Responsibilities

• Install and commission equipment according to technical specifications, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with safety requirements
• Diagnose technical issues and perform repairs, identifying faults and implementing effective solutions to restore equipment functionality
• Carry out preventive and routine maintenance to ensure reliable equipment performance, extend its service life, and minimize downtime
• Perform quality and safety checks after service and repair activities to ensure work meets applicable standards and requirements
• Collaborate with colleagues and customers, providing technical support and accurately documenting maintenance, repairs, and inspections

Your Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or professional education in a relevant technical field, or an equivalent combination of technical education and practical experience
• Relevant professional experience in a technical, maintenance, repair, or service environment
• Ability to read, understand, and apply technical specifications and instructions related to equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
• Good knowledge of fault diagnosis, repair, preventive maintenance, and workplace safety procedures
• Good communication and ability for travel (150+ days)
