Job summary

PALFINGER MARINE in Norway seeks a technical support specialist to join the After Sales and Service team. You will identify spare parts, research parts for customization, and deliver accurate offers by combining product knowledge with a service-oriented approach.

You will work closely with sales managers, engineers, and customers, providing practical technical solutions, clear communication, and efficient handling of inquiries within our ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Qualifications

• Technical education or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience in technical support, service, spare parts or sales support.
• Ability to understand customer needs and provide practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication and customer-oriented mindset.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Responsibilities

• Identify correct equipment and spare parts for customers using internal systems and historical data.
• Research spare parts for custom-made equipment and contact suppliers/manufacturers when needed.
• Understand customer spare parts needs and determine appropriate solution.
• Prepare accurate spare parts offers based on equipment or components identified.
• Maintain an organized approach to inquiries, ensuring information and requests are handled efficiently.

Join our After Sales and Service team and provide technical support that helps customers identify the right spare parts and service solutions. You will work closely with sales managers, engineers, and customers, combining technical knowledge with clear communication and a service-oriented approach.

Your Responsibilities

• Identify the correct equipment and spare parts required by customers using internal systems, technical information, and historical equipment deliveries
• Research spare parts for custom-made equipment and contact relevant suppliers or manufacturers when additional information is required
• Understand customer spare parts needs, including cases where the required part cannot be clearly identified by the customer, and determine the appropriate solution
• Prepare accurate spare parts offers based on customer requirements and the identified equipment or components
• Maintain a structured and organized approach to spare parts inquiries, ensuring technical information and customer requests are handled accurately and efficiently

Your Qualifications

• Technical vocational education, short-cycle studies, or an equivalent technical qualification
• Initial professional experience in technical support, service, spare parts, or a sales support environment
• Ability to understand customer needs and provide practical technical solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a customer-oriented and collaborative mindset
• Strong experience working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta)
