Job summary

SilverBack seeks an experienced Senior Planning Manager to support a major Data Centre development in Hamar, Norway. The role is site-based and owns the project programme across pre-construction, construction, commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities include establishing the planning framework, managing the Integrated Master Programme, and monitoring progress against baselines, with a focus on critical path analysis and timely milestones.

Qualifications

• Senior-level planning experience on large, complex construction projects.
• Data Centre planning experience is essential.
• Expert-level Primavera P6 knowledge and use.
• Experience developing and managing integrated project schedules.
• Understanding of Data Centre construction sequencing, including MEP installation and testing.

• Review contractor programmes during tender and delivery.

Job description

SilverBack is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Senior Planning Manager to support a major Data Centre development in Hamar, Norway.

This is a senior, site-based role within the project team, responsible for owning the project programme and leading planning activities from pre-construction through construction, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Integrated Master Programme across all phases of the project
• Establish the planning framework, WBS, project baseline, and scheduling standards
• Review and assess contractor programmes during the tender and delivery stages
• Monitor progress against the baseline and analyse critical path, float, delays, and key milestones
• Assess the programme impact of changes and support mitigation and recovery planning

What We’re Looking For

• Strong senior-level planning experience on large, complex construction projects
• Proven Data Centre planning experience is essential, ideally across multiple Data Centre projects
• Expert-level experience with Primavera P6
• Strong experience developing and managing integrated project schedules
• Good understanding of Data Centre construction sequencing, including MEP installation, commissioning, and integrated systems testing
