Job summary

SilverBack is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Project Controls Manager to support a major Data Centre development in Hamar, Norway.

This is a senior, site-based role within the project team, responsible for leading project controls activities across planning, scheduling, cost estimation, forecasting, and performance management from pre-construction through construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Strong senior-level Project Controls experience on large, complex construction projects.
• Proven Data Centre experience is essential, ideally across multiple projects.
• Experience with baselines, forecasting, cost-to-complete, and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control the integrated project schedule from pre-construction through construction and commissioning
• Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete, and cash flow
• Establish the project baseline and manage change control
• Track variations and assess their impact on project cost and programme
• Monitor project progress and performance, including earned value, critical path, and key milestones
• Support the tender process by reviewing contractor programmes, pricing, and bids

What We’re Looking For

• Strong senior-level Project Controls experience on large, complex construction projects
• Proven Data Centre experience is essential, ideally across multiple Data Centre projects
• Strong background across both planning/scheduling and cost estimation/control
• Strong experience with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software
• Experience with project baselines, forecasting, cost-to-complete, and change control
• Good understanding of construction contracts, variations, and cost reporting
