Job summary

Mercury GmbH in Kristiansand, Norway seeks a Mechanical Package Manager to lead safety, QA, and coordination of the mechanical package on large-scale construction projects. You will work with the Mercury team to manage schedules, procurement, subcontractors, and cost control while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years experience in Project Management.
• Good technical knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety.
• Experience in design and build.
• Proven record of coordinating large installation projects.
• Experience dealing with Industrial Relations issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage Site Safety with project team and Mercury Safety Advisor.
• Manage Site QA for the Mechanical package including file setup, management and close out.
• Coordinate Project Schedule with Mercury Project team, client requirements.
• Control all costs for your package including sub-contractors, materials, plant, variations and valuations.
• Mentor junior engineers and report progress to planners.
• Ensure procurement buy-out schedules and on-time delivery of materials/equipment.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure Mercury policies are followed.
• Lead subcontractor activities and weekly coordination meetings.
• Maintain weekly progress and risk reporting for project teams.
• Contribute to weekly commercial meetings and change management.
