Job summary

Mercury GmbH is seeking a CSA Site Supervisor for Kristiansand, Norway. You will lead on-site operations for CSA packages, manage safety, QA, schedule, and costs, and coordinate with sub-contractors and trades to deliver complex installations.

With a background in CSA systems and a track record of large installation projects, you will drive adherence to deadlines and maintain high-quality on-site performance, reporting progress and risks to the project team.

Qualifications

• Trade background and 5-10 years supervising installation crews and sub-contractors.
• Proven track record supervising large installation projects.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety principles and practices.
• Experience in design and build projects.
• Strong CSA systems technical knowledge.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and drive large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with Mercury Safety Advisor and closure of safety file.
• Management of Site QA in conjunction with CSA Package manager and closure of files.
• Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule with other trades.
• Oversee day to day on-site operations for the CSA packages.
• Assist with cost management for your package including team, subcontractors, deliveries, and equipment.
• Track subcontractor activities and attend weekly progress meetings.
• Manage Mercury In Progress snagging system and weekly punch lists.
• Issue labour hours and subcontractor hours to time administrator for central tracking.
• Attend site meetings, reviews, planning, and handover meetings as required.
• Ensure weekly look-ahead and coordination with other trades.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Mercury Safety Advisor. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
• Management of Site QA in conjunction with the CSA Package manager including set up, management and close out of file.
• Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades and Package Leads.
• Management of all day to day on site operations for the CSA packages.
• Assist with the management of all costs associated with your package including:
  -Mercury CSA Team
  -Sub-contractors
  -Material deliveries and goods receipting.
  -Plant and Equipment
  -Variations
• Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades and Package Leads.
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure Attend and contribute to a weekly minutes meeting with sub-contractor.
• Management of the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system ensuring that you return weekly punch lists where applicable.
• Issue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally.
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings where required.
• Close out of all project items including O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File – all with the support of the CSA package manager
• Implement a weekly look ahead ensuring co-ordination with other trades.
• Issue internal weekly progress report, Supervisors report. This will highlight progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns. It should also highlight any risk elements within the control of Mercury or Sub-contractors, e.g.: late deliveries.
• Schedule material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule. Track deliveries.
• Maintain a weekly project photographic diary
• Any other duties associated with the role.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

• A trade background and 5 - 10 years previous experience in supervising installation crews and sub-contractors.
• Proven record of supervising and involvement of large installation projects
• Knowledge of Health & Safety
• Experienced in design and build
• Good technical knowledge of both CSA systems
• Ability to work well within strict deadlines
• Ability to drive a large-scale project
