Job summary

NOV APL is seeking a Senior Engineer – Marine Analysis to join our engineering team in Arendal. You will perform design and analysis of mooring, riser, cable and umbilical systems for floating offshore installations, contributing to concept studies, detailed engineering and product development.

You will work closely with structural, mechanical and installation engineers, participating in the full project lifecycle from early client discussions to offshore installation, and you will develop

Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in Hydrodynamics, Naval Architecture or related field.
Experience in offshore engineering or marine analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Interest in programming (Python, Fortran or similar).
Professional English language.

Responsibilities

Perform marine analysis and design of mooring and riser systems.
Analyse vessel motions, hydrostatic stability and hydrodynamic behaviour.
Support concept studies, FEED, detailed engineering and project execution.
Contribute to offshore loading and CO₂ injection system design.
Develop and improve internal analysis tools and engineering methods.
Collaborate with clients, suppliers and classification societies.
