Job summary

NACOS Marine in Norway seeks a Senior Project Engineer to own the design and documentation of marine navigation systems, collaborating with customers, suppliers, shipyards, and colleagues across the business.

You will guide the full engineering lifecycle from system layouts to testing, commissioning support, and on-site interaction, leveraging a strong electrical, automation, and naval engineering background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Naval Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in electrical or automation engineering within marine/naval environments.
• Strong electrical and electrotechnical knowledge; ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop project-specific navigation documentation based on standard packages.
• Design system layouts and architecture diagrams for marine navigation systems and electrical installations.
• Create electrical drawings for cabinets, consoles, and automation systems using EPLAN/AutoCAD.
• Define cabinet layouts, hardware configurations and electrical interfaces.
• Prepare cable lists and support routing/connection definitions for automation systems.
• Produce technical documentation and drawings for NACOS Marine products.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and on-site commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, shipyards, and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in vessel surveys, system start-ups, and commissioning activities.
