Job summary

APL Norway AS is seeking experienced Engineering Manager(s) to drive the technical execution of offshore projects. The Engineering Manager will own engineering scope, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and schedules.

Responsibilities include defining scope and schedule, leading engineers, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating with project management, procurement, construction, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant Engineering field.
• 5+ years of engineering project leadership experience in oil & gas or offshore industry.
• Proven experience with Primavera and engineering software.
• Fluent in English; Norwegian language skills are an advantage.
• Eligibility to work in Norway and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the engineering scope and schedule for assigned projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with the Project Management Team to align engineering activities with milestones.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep engineering work on track.
• Facilitate communication between engineering, procurement, construction, and operations stakeholders.
• Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across engineering processes.
• Represent the engineering function in client and partner meetings as needed.
• Report engineering performance metrics to senior management.
