Job summary

APL Norway AS is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to drive the technical execution of offshore projects. You will own engineering scope, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and guarantee that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and are completed on schedule.

You will lead engineering, procurement, construction, and operations interfaces, monitor risks, mentor staff, and report performance to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant Engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering project leadership within the oil & gas or offshore industry.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and quality management systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Primavera) and engineering software.
• Fluent in English; Norwegian language skills are an advantage.
• Eligibility to work in Norway and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the engineering scope and schedule for assigned projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Management Team to align engineering activities with milestones.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep engineering work on track.
• Facilitate communication between engineering, procurement, construction, and operations stakeholders.
• Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across engineering processes.
• Represent the engineering function in client and partner meetings as needed.
• Report engineering performance metrics to senior management.
