As project progresses, you will navigate complex migration decisions, balance business and technical considerations, and drive the architecture roadmap with delivery teams across Europe.

Qualifications

• Recent SAP S/4HANA brownfield conversion experience (last 2 years).

• Deep expertise in Logistics or Finance SAP functional areas.
• Broad understanding of cross-module processes, dependencies and integrations.

SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect - Brownfield Conversion

Location: Oslo, Norway (candidates based anywhere in Europe considered)

Working Arrangement: Project travel required, particularly during the initial 2-3 months

Contract: Long-term contract opportunity

Start Date: ASAP - ideally within 1-2 weeks

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect to support a major ECC-to-S/4HANA brownfield conversion for a leading international organisation in Norway.

This is a critical role for a senior SAP professional with recent, hands-on brownfield migration experience and the ability to take an overarching view of the SAP landscape. You will act as a key link between the client, functional workstreams and technical delivery teams, helping navigate complex migration considerations, cross-module dependencies and solution design decisions.

The project has completed its initial assessment and preparation phase, with the main implementation activities now underway and go-live anticipated towards the end of next year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide solution architecture expertise throughout an SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA brownfield conversion.
• Assess the impact of migration decisions across SAP functional and technical domains.
• Advise on key S/4HANA changes, including business partner integration, data model changes, finance implications and ABAP code remediation.
• Work closely with functional leads and delivery teams across multiple SAP modules.
• Evaluate cross-module dependencies, integration points and the wider business impact of solution decisions.
• Support scope management, solution discussions and stakeholder negotiations.
• Challenge existing assumptions and provide informed recommendations on migration approaches and the project roadmap.
• Help ensure alignment between business requirements, architecture and technical delivery.

Key Requirements

• Recent SAP S/4HANA brownfield conversion experience, ideally gained within the last two years.
• Strong understanding of the challenges involved in migrating from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
• Deep expertise in at least one core SAP functional area, ideally Logistics or Finance.
• Broad understanding of cross-module processes, dependencies and integrations.
• Knowledge of key S/4HANA migration considerations, including Business Partner, data model changes, Finance and ABAP remediation.
• Confidence engaging with senior client stakeholders and challenging decisions where necessary.
• Ability to bridge the gap between detailed functional/technical knowledge and the overall solution architecture.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
