Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced SAP SD Architect to lead the Order-to-Cash design during a brownfield migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. You will own SD architecture, pricing, master data, and related processes, ensuring seamless integration with logistics, finance, planning, and customer service.

The role requires strong workshop facilitation, cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of successful data migration validation and cutover activities to protect

Responsibilities

• Lead the SD solution design for brownfield conversion to S/4HANA.
• Own architecture decisions for master data, pricing, sales order processing, delivery, billing, and returns.
• Assess impacts on interfaces, reporting, and downstream logistics execution within the order-to-cash domain.
• Coordinate remediation, validation, cutover, and defect management with business, data, integration, and testing teams.
• Support go-live readiness, UAT, and business continuity during the transition.

Job description

Lead the Order-to-Cash solution design for an SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA brownfield migration in a large industrial business. Own the SD architecture, assess process and master data impacts, and ensure a controlled transition of sales, pricing, delivery, billing, and customer-facing processes into S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the SD solution design for brownfield conversion, including simplification impacts, retained ECC design areas, and S/4HANA process changes.
• Own architecture decisions across customer master/Business Partner, pricing, sales order processing, delivery, billing, credit, output, and returns processes.
• Assess impacts on interfaces, reporting, custom developments, rebates/settlement management, and downstream logistics execution.
• Work with business, technical, data, integration, and testing teams to define remediation, validation, cutover, and defect management activities.
• Support fit-gap decisions, UAT readiness, and go-live stabilization while protecting business continuity and customer service performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong SAP SD architecture experience across ECC and S/4HANA, including brownfield/system conversion programs.
• Good understanding of S/4HANA SD changes, including Business Partner, pricing/condition data, credit management, output management, and simplification items.
• Experience integrating SD design with logistics, finance, planning, manufacturing, and customer service processes.
• Ability to support data migration validation, testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization for order-to-cash processes.
• Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in process manufacturing, chemicals, industrial products, or global distribution environments.
• Exposure to aATP, Settlement Management, FSCM Credit Management, and Fiori-based order-to-cash processes.
• SAP certification and experience with multi-country templates or phased deployment models.
