Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Oslo seeks an experienced SAP FI architect to lead the finance solution design for a brownfield ECC to S/4HANA migration in a complex industrial environment. You will own the finance architecture, drive simplification impact assessments, and ensure controlled transition of core record-to-report processes, controls, and reporting into S/4HANA.

Job description

Lead the Finance solution design for an SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA brownfield migration in a complex industrial environment. Own the finance architecture, assess simplification impacts, and ensure a controlled transition of core record-to-report processes, controls, and reporting into S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the FI solution approach for brownfield conversion, including assessment of simplification items, configuration impacts, and retained ECC processes.
• Own design decisions across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, bank interfaces, tax, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate the impact of key S/4HANA finance changes such as Business Partner integration, Universal Journal alignment, and control/reporting implications.
• Work closely with technical, data, security, testing, and business teams to define remediation, validation, cutover, and hypercare requirements.
• Support fit-gap decisions, defect resolution, and go-live readiness while ensuring compliance, auditability, and minimal business disruption.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong SAP FI architecture experience across ECC and S/4HANA, including brownfield/system conversion programs.
• Good understanding of S/4HANA Finance impacts, including Universal Journal, Business Partner integration, and finance-related simplification items.
• Experience in fit-gap workshops, solution governance, and integration of finance design with tax, treasury, controlling, procurement, and order-to-cash flows.
• Ability to support data validation, reconciliation, testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to produce executive-ready design and risk summaries.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in process manufacturing, chemicals, or other asset-intensive industries.
• Exposure to Central Finance, Group Reporting, FSCM, or advanced tax/reporting requirements.
• SAP certification and experience with global template or multi-country rollouts.
