Job summary

Equinor ASA in Norway seeks a Reservoir Engineer to apply analytical and reservoir modelling techniques across subsurface evaluations. You will integrate subsurface data to model dynamic reservoir behaviour, optimise drainage and plan wells across a full project life-cycle.

The role is part of the North Development program, offering development opportunities with early stretch tasks. You may exchange between our northern Norway locations in the first years of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant technical discipline.
• Completed degree by August 2027.
• Education within: Reservoir or Production Technology and related disciplines such as Drilling & Well, Flow Assurance, Process Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Data Science or Cybernetics.
• Relevant software competence, and the ability to learn new tools.
• Programming (Python, JavaScript) capabilities are an advantage.
• A maximum of three years of relevant fulltime work experience.
• Operational experience and experience from field development projects will be of advantage.
• Fluency in Norwegian language and good communication skills in English.
• Excitement about the opportunity to be living and working from Harstad.

Responsibilities

• Maturation of field development projects.
• Reservoir modelling and energy efficient reservoir management.
• Well target identification, well planning and optimal well placement.
• Production forecasting and emission predictions.
• Optimization and data driven production predictions.
• Carbon capture and storage projects.
• Contribute to digitalization and improvement initiatives.
• Tasks may vary depending on your background, interests, and other factors.
