Job summary

Equinor is seeking a Reservoir Engineer to apply analytical and modelling techniques across subsurface evaluations. You will integrate data to model dynamic reservoir behaviour, optimise drainage and well planning across a full project life-cycle, and contribute to energy-efficient operations.

The role is part of the North Development program, offering development opportunities and an early-stage stretch in assignments across northern Norway.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Reservoir or Production Technology or related disciplines (completed by Aug 2027).
• Relevant software competence and ability to learn new tools.
• Programming (Python, JavaScript) capabilities are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maturation of field development projects.
• Reservoir modelling and energy efficient reservoir management.
• Well target identification, well planning and optimal well placement.
• Production forecasting and emission predictions.
• Optimization and data driven production predictions.
• Carbon capture and storage projects.
• Contribute to digitalization and improvement initiatives.
• Tasks may vary depending on background and interests.
