Job summary

Equinor ASA is recruiting for a Production Engineer in Harstad, Norway, as part of the North Development program. The role focuses on analyzing and optimizing production and wells across subsurface value chains, maturing well interventions, and integrating subsurface and topside data to optimize field solutions.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to energy-efficient production, emissions forecasts, carbon capture projects, and digitalisation initiatives while aligning with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant technical discipline (Reservoir/Production Tech, Drilling/Well, Flow Assurance, Process Technology, etc).
• Programming (Python, JavaScript) capabilities are an advantage.
• Fluency in Norwegian (written and spoken) and good English communication.
• Maximum of three years of relevant full-time work experience.
• Operational experience and field development project experience is advantageous.
• Innovative and digital mindset; eagerness to learn and develop.
• Strong software competence and ability to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Daily production and energy optimization, well monitoring and performance.
• Operational planning and follow-up in a multidisciplinary team.
• Well maturation and interventions.
• Production technical input to field development projects.
• Energy efficient production optimization and emission predictions.
• Carbon capture and storage project involvement.
• Contribution to digitalisation and improvement initiatives.
