Drilling Engineer, North Development Program

Job summary

Equinor is seeking a driven engineer for its North Development program in Harstad, Norway. You will contribute to planning drilling and completion operations, well interventions, and subsea activities, while collaborating with teams across disciplines to shape the future of drilling and well engineering.

You will be exposed to stretch tasks early, with exchange opportunities among northern Norway locations during the first three years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (e.g. petroleum, subsea, marine/offshore tech, mechanical/chemical engineering or related)
• Fluency in English written and spoken is essential; Norwegian is a plus and willingness to learn is expected
• No more than three years of full-time relevant work experience
• Adaptability and ability to work in a global, diverse environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning drilling and completion operations, well interventions and subsea activities
• Contribute to future drilling and well industry developments
• Collaborate with disciplines, perform method selection and risk assessment, evaluate equipment
• Develop and improve new ways of working and analyze data to ensure safe operations
