Job summary

MDE is seeking a Project Control Lead to support Project Managers in achieving business and project goals. You will oversee the Master Cost Schedule and Current Cost Estimate, plan, cost estimation, and monthly reporting for dedicated projects.

You will guide Planning and Cost Control Specialists, drive project control tools adoption, and lead a multidisciplinary team through cost, planning, reporting, and analysis to ensure robust budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

  • MSc or BSc in Business Administration, Engineering or a technical Construction Management certificate.
  • 10+ years of relevant project experience, preferably from early phase to execution phase projects.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Proactively follow up on progress of deliverables.
  • Self-organized with excellent planning and organizing skills.
  • Note: all hires screened against sanctions lists.

Job description

We are looking for a Project Control Lead
Job Description
  • The Project Control Lead provides direct support to Project Manager(s) in ensuring that our projects achieve business- and project goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the overall Master Control Schedule (MCE) on dedicated projects, CCE (Current Cost Estimate), planning, cost estimation and monthly reporting on the dedicated project(s).
  • Provides guidance to Planning and Cost Control Specialists where applicable.
  • The Project Control Lead shall be a driver for the implementation of project control tools, systems, training and follow-up to ensure proper utilization.
  • Ensure the project use a consistent and agreed approach to the management of cost including reporting and forecasting. Active use of risk- and opportunity evaluation in the budgeting process.
  • Lead a team of different discipline for cost, planning, progress reporting, DCC/LCI, MOC and analysis and reporting.
  • Support finance in license budgeting and be a focal point for coordination.
  • Tracking of expenditure against budgets on dedicated projects.
  • Actively support projects in preparation of standard project work breakdown structure for project budgets.
  • Preparation and collation of full project cost estimates across project phases.
  • Identify issues and put forward recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in reporting requirements, planned and ad-hoc.
  • Co-ordinate the completion of the monthly report on dedicated projects working closely with project team members to establish cost/financial information and performance.
  • Support the estimating process to ensure cost risks are identified and appropriately quantified.
  • Review, analyze and challenge supplier and contractor cost- and study reports together with dedicated project control teams.
  • Monitor and act on progress reporting and align with agreed KPIs.
  • Direct and chair cost management meetings with contractors on dedicated projects and internal departments involved in the cost process.
  • Interface and coordinate with other stakeholders as required.
  • Combine use of planning- and cost data for situational awareness of project status.
  • Drive the process of performing cost- and schedule risk analysis.
Qualification Requirements
  • MSc or BSc in Business Administration, Engineering or a technical certificate in Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of relevant project experience, proven experience from early phase phase execution phase projects in similar position will be preferred.
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Proactively follow up on progress of deliverables.
  • Self-organized, self-going.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills.
