Job summary

MDE Norway in Bergen is seeking a qualified supply chain professional to manage purchase orders, conduct market screening, and perform commercial evaluations within the oil and gas sector. You will work closely with engineering to prepare inquiries and ensure cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities include monitoring delivery, handling variations and risks, and driving improvements to reduce costs while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within supply chain management in Oil & Gas.
• Commercial awareness is essential.
• Professional and independent team player.
• Strong oral and written communication in Norwegian and English.
• Willingness to adapt to changes and collaborate well.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.

• Perform commercial evaluations of quotations
• Monitor and ensure delivery within the agreed timeframe, cost, and quality
• Manage variation handling
• Handle risks, deviations, and invoice processing
• Ensure all activities comply with our guidelines, work instructions, and procedures
• Continuously work on improvements to reduce internal and external risks and costs, enhance delivery quality, and strengthen collaboration

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant subjects such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within supply chain management in Oil & Gas
• You are commercially aware
• You are professional and an independent team player
• You have strong oral and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English
• You are flexible and willing to adapt to changes
• You engage positively with others and demonstrate a high degree of collaboration skills
• You work in a structured and efficient manner, always in accordance with applicable guidelines
• Experience with SAP is an advantage
• A high degree of data discipline is preferred
• Work location: Bergen. It is not possible to work from other locations
