Job summary

NTNU’s Department of Geography and Social Anthropology invites applications for a 3-year Postdoctoral Fellow in Hydrology and Catchment Biogeochemistry. The successful candidate will conduct field investigations, modelling and data-driven analyses, with possible affiliations at partner institutions.

International collaboration and career development are emphasized. Applicants should have a doctoral degree in a relevant field, strong English skills, and a track record of publications.

Qualifications

• PhD in Hydrology, Geoscience, Civil/Environmental Eng, Environmental Science or Geography.
• Documentation of PhD must be provided before taking up the position.
• Peer-reviewed publications or manuscripts in review are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality scientific research.
• Publish results in peer-reviewed journals.
• Lead field research activities of the project.
• Curate datasets for own research and publications.
• Engage in data-driven and modeling analyses of peatland hydrology.
• Participate in international activities such as conferences and research stays.
• Co-supervise master and PhD students as part of career development.
