Job summary

Preply is hiring a Platform Software Engineer to join the Developer Platform team. You’ll build and operate CI/CD systems and developer tooling, enabling engineers to ship confidently at scale. You’ll own the journey from writing code to deployment, and design scalable internal platforms with AI-enabled workflows.

You’ll collaborate across squads, drive adoption of tooling, and help shape the platform architecture while maintaining reliability and cost awareness.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend design and implementation experience.
• Hands‑on in CI/CD systems at scale with cost/performance trade-offs.
• Proficiency in Python for platform services and automation.
• Experience using AI to improve developer workflows.
• Ability to design and operate internal developer tooling.
• Strong communication and collaboration across squads.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate CI/CD systems and developer platforms.
• Own the developer journey from code to deployment.
• Create internal services and tooling to improve productivity.
• Provide infrastructure and paved paths for autonomous work.
