Job summary

Head Energy Consulting AS is seeking a Planning / Senior Planner to manage schedule planning, resource tracking and cost control for engineering scopes across onshore and offshore projects. You will establish multi-level schedules and lead progress reviews, partnering with contract and cost teams to keep projects on track.

The role requires strong experience in project planning for EPC projects, expertise in Safran Project and Primavera, and excellent English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor in technical or commercial topics.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in project planning from EPC projects.
• Experience with engineering planning and Safran Project.
• Excellent skills in critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis.
• Solid communication skills in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Plan schedule, resources and cost control for engineering scope.

Job Description:

• Schedule planning, resource planning and cost control for the engineering scope. This requires proactively collecting information from various stkaholders in the project.


• Establish and maintain Level 4 (and Level 5?) for the engineering scope.


• Lead project progress reviews and validate & challenge actual progress.


• Highlighting the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule for the scope and propose the optimization & mitigation actions.


• Follow up the overall scheduling according to contract, authority regulations and client work processes.


• Provide planning manager and project management with scheduling analysis to ensure correct management decisions.


• Communicate all potential scheduling issues to planning manager to ensure needed adjustments, mitigations and improved performance.


• Proactively search for opportunities to improve the schedule and ensure materialization of these.

Qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor within technical or commercial topics. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications.


• Minimum 3 years work experience within project planning from EPC projects.


• Experience from engineering planning


• Experience with and working knowledge of Safran Project


• Experience with and knowledge of client method


• Excellent skills within the use of Safran Project. Candidates with excellent skills within Primavera will also be evaluated.


• Highly competent within critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis – monitor and follow up closely


• Scenario planning with the ability to suggest mitigating actions to recover project delay.


• Experience with working together with contract, estimation, risk and cost resources to ensure alignment between plan and their deliverables.
