Job summary

Gordon Yates Recruitment Consultancy in London is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a growing accountancy firm. You will manage end-to-end payrolls for multiple clients weekly, four-weekly, monthly and annually, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.

You'll work with Staffology or equivalent systems, handle RTI, PAYE, NI and pensions, provide excellent client service and help improve payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Experience handling multiple client payrolls end-to-end.
• Good understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Experience with RTI submissions (FPS/EPS).
• Familiarity with PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions.
• Experience using Staffology or similar payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Process multiple client payrolls accurately and by deadlines.
• Maintain employee payroll records including tax, benefits and pension details.
• Check payroll data, investigate discrepancies and respond to queries.
• Submit RTI returns to HMRC (FPS/EPS) and year-end activities (P60s, P11Ds).
• Set up new clients on payroll/pension systems and ensure data accuracy.
