Job summary

Nscale is expanding fast in the Nordic region and seeks a hands-on People Operations lead to build a solid operational foundation globally while adapting to local specifics. You will partner with Payroll, stabilise time and attendance, and drive system implementations across the Nordic hub.

This startup-style role requires 5–8 years in People Ops, strong Nordic employment law knowledge, and a collaborative mindset to scale across regions, with travel within Nordics and Europe.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years experience in People Operations, ideally in fast-growing tech/startup environments.
• Startup mindset: hands-on administration now, with mature planning for robust solutions.
• Experience partnering with Payroll on time & attendance or related processes.
• Track record of introducing or implementing new People systems.
• Strong knowledge of Norwegian and Nordics employment law and compliance.
• Comfortable working in a global People team with cross-regional impact.
• Holder of Norwegian social security/D number and fluent Norwegian.

Responsibilities

• Time & Attendance: diagnose and fix issues, establish a stable process.
• Systems Implementation: lead introduction of new People systems (e.g., Workday) for Nordic hub and globally.
• Manage employee lifecycle aligning with local compliance and global processes.
• Employee Relations support while the function is built.
• Statutory Reporting under Norwegian law (NAV).
• Operate as on-the-ground People Operations owner for Nordic with global scope.
• Hands-On Foundation Building: perform day-to-day ops not yet automated.
• Cross-functional project involvement: systems, process design, compliance initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: build simple, scalable processes and documentation.
