Job summary

Nscale is seeking a hands-on People Operations lead for the Nordic hub, with a genuine startup mentality and the ability to scale globally. You will stabilize time and attendance, partner with payroll, and implement new systems like Workday while ensuring local compliance and alignment with global processes.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years experience in People Operations, ideally in fast-growing tech/start-up environments.
• Hands-on admin work now, with the maturity to build robust processes later.
• Experience working with Payroll on time and attendance or similar payroll-impacting processes.
• Track record of introducing or implementing new People systems.
• Strong knowledge of Norwegian law, compliance requirements, and balancing local vs global processes.
• Comfort working as part of a global People team with cross-border impact.
• Holder of Norwegian social security/D number and fluent Norwegian.

Responsibilities

• Time & Attendance stabilization with local and global payroll teams.
• Lead introduction of new People systems and improve existing ones (e.g., Workday).
• Ensure Nordic hub compliance with employment laws and align with global processes.
• Provide Employee Relations support as the function is built.
• Manage statutory HR reporting under Norwegian law (NAV).
• Act as on-the-ground People Operations owner for Nordic with global responsibilities.
• Build day-to-day Ops admin that isn’t automated, and identify what to automate next.
• Participate in cross-functional People projects and design scalable processes.
