Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an Experienced Field Application Engineer for the Nordic Region, stationed in Norway. The role focuses on engaging customers early, understanding their technical needs, and guiding them toward GF solutions to achieve design wins and tapeouts.

Travel up to 20% within Europe, with strong English communication required. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering or equivalent, and at least 15 years of experience in the semiconductor

Qualifications

• Education – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Education – Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience – Minimum 15 years in semiconductor industry including design and/or process.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their technical needs towards development of semiconductor IC products.
• Assess the competitive landscape to identify and advocate GF value propositions.
• Partner internally with account managers, product marketing, and technical experts to create compelling, application-specific proposals.
• Work with the account management team to merge technical and commercial terms into a design-winning proposal.
• Identify and resolve issues to convert design wins into production-ready tapeouts.
