Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Field Sales Engineer (Instrumentation) to join the Nordic Global Sales team, based in Porsgrunn or other Norwegian offices. You will drive growth by promoting measurement solutions across the chemical, pulp and paper sectors and related industries in Norway and central Sweden.

You will build direct customer relationships, understand drivers, prepare budgets, and report progress via CRM while collaborating with internal teams to prioritize quotes and ensure service levels.

Qualifications

• Technical degree, or equivalent experience.
• Proven sales / business development experience in a commercial role.
• Exposure to industrial automation environment with good technical understanding (ideally measuring instrumentation).
• CRM & MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Promoting products and services across the assigned sales area.
• Visiting key accounts and prospects to assess potential and strengthen relationships.
• Understanding customer drivers and staying current with their business needs.
• Preparing annual booking budgets by product, value and period.
• Submitting call plans, analyses and reports with timely accuracy.
• Reporting sales plans and project potential through CRM updates.
• Liaising with internal teams to prioritize quotations and maintain service levels.
• Participating in relevant industry events.
