Job summary

Lloyd’s Register in Bergen, Norway, seeks a Naval Technical Lead to liaise with Norwegian and UK governments and navies, preparing for the Type 26 frigates. The role spans mobilisation and sustainment, involving regulatory alignment, safety cases and through-life support.

The successful candidate will travel between Norway and the UK, contribute to the naval design intent, and ensure compliance with Norwegian authorities, while mentoring others and driving continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent from a recognised institution; naval/engineering background preferred.
• PM/Project management knowledge gained through experience or training.
• Proficiency in English and Norwegian (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Norwegian and UK Governments, Navies and agencies to prepare Norway for Type 26 frigates.
• Assist in development and compliance of naval classification processes and safety cases.
• Support through life management, upkeep, repairs, and modifications for the Type 26 project.
