Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking an experienced Naval Architect to join the Ship Design Solutions team in Norway. You will play a central role in decarbonization and new vessel concepts, leading design activities for complex projects and coordinating with customers worldwide.

The ideal candidate holds a naval architecture degree, has 5 years of relevant experience, and is proficient in AutoCAD, with interest in 3D tools and CFD. English is the working language for international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or related engineering field.
• 5 years of relevant ship design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; 3D tools (Revit) and CFD knowledge are plus.
• Fluent in English for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design leadership for customer projects and R&D programs.
• Own General Arrangements, vessel specs and performance docs.
• Engage with owners, yards and classification societies on trends and rules.
• Support bids with technical tender data and evaluations.
• Drive innovation in offshore, navy and unmanned vessel designs.
