Job summary

Lloyd’s Register is seeking a Business Development Manager – Advisory (Maritime & Energy) to grow our advisory practice across the North Europe region, with locations in Oslo or Bergen, Norway. You will uncover opportunities, engage senior decision-makers, and design tailored advisory solutions that respond to decarbonisation, regulatory, and technology shifts.

Qualifications

• Degree in maritime, engineering, business, or related discipline.
• Several years of experience in business development, sales, consulting or advisory roles.
• Knowledge of shipping decarbonization and energy transition trends.
• Demonstrated experience building business pipelines.
• Clear written and spoken English; Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight in evolving environments.
• Established North European shipowners/operators network is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a BD strategy for advisory services across maritime and energy clients in the North Europe market.
• Identify, prospect, and engage decision-makers across shipowners, operators, charterers, traders, energy companies, and OEMs / technology providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with marine equipment manufacturers and energy sector clients.
• Collaborate with energy sector clients to uncover advisory opportunities tied to energy transition and carbon markets.
• Build, maintain, and grow a robust pipeline of advisory opportunities with experts to develop client solutions.
• Develop client-facing materials, proposals, and pitch documents.
• Represent the business at industry conferences and OEM events to build market visibility and leads.
• Monitor regulatory and market developments and translate insights into advisory opportunities.
