Job summary

NACOS Marine in Bergen, Norway is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead design and documentation of marine navigation systems for naval and governmental ships. You will own system layouts, electrical documentation, and testing support, collaborating with customers, suppliers, shipyards, and internal teams.

The role requires a strong electrical/automation background, hands-on experience with EPLAN/AutoCAD, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Naval Engineering, or related field
• Strong electrical/automation engineering experience in marine/naval environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Proficient with EPLAN, AutoCAD or similar tools

Responsibilities

• Develop project-specific navigation documentation based on standard packages
• Design system layouts and architecture diagrams for marine navigation systems
• Create electrical drawings for cabinets, consoles, and automation systems using EPLAN/AutoCAD
• Define cabinet layouts, hardware configurations and electrical interfaces
• Prepare cable lists and support cable routing for automation systems
• Produce technical drawings and documentation for NACOS Marine products
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and commissioning activities
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, shipyards, and internal stakeholders
• Participate in vessel surveys, system start-ups and on-site support as needed
• Share technical knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement
