Job summary

Thor seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support modular electrical and critical-power system design. Based in Sande, you will work three days per week on-site with multidisciplinary teams to develop electrical designs and documentation.

Strong EPLAN experience and UPS/battery system design expertise are essential, with knowledge of LV distribution, switchgear and control panels. Offshore, data-centre or industrial sectors are relevant.

Qualifications

Strong experience in UPS, battery or critical-power system design.
Proven track record as Electrical Design Engineer or similar.
Experience with electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Knowledge of LV distribution, switchgear, switchboards or control panels.

Responsibilities

Develop and update electrical designs using EPLAN.
Produce electrical schematics, single-line diagrams and technical drawings.
Support the design of UPS, battery and critical-power systems.
Design LV power-distribution systems, switchboards and control panels.
Prepare equipment specifications, cable information and bills of materials.
Review technical requirements and translate them into practical electrical designs.
Ensure designs comply with project specifications and standards.
Coordinate design interfaces with mechanical, automation, production and project teams.
Review vendor and supplier documentation.
Support queries during manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
Update designs and produce as-built documentation.
Identify technical issues and support design improvements.
