Job summary

Omega 365 Consulting in Stavanger is seeking a Senior Electrical / Power Systems Engineer to support power system studies, ETAP analyses, and technical documentation for offshore and onshore projects in oil, gas, and renewables. The role involves coordination with multi-disciplinary teams and compliance with DNV requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Extensive relevant experience may compensate for formal educational requirements.
• Several years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer / Power Systems Engineer.
• Solid experience with ETAP.
• Experience with short-circuit calculations.
• Experience with protection coordination and selectivity studies.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical electrical documentation.
• Experience with DNV / DNV GL requirements is highly desirable.
• Offshore, maritime, energy or oil & gas experience is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Power system analysis and electrical studies using ETAP
• Short-circuit calculations and fault level analysis
• Protection coordination and selectivity studies
• Review and preparation of electrical engineering documentation
• Technical calculations and documentation in accordance with relevant standards and requirements
• Coordination with engineering disciplines, suppliers and other project stakeholders
• Follow-up and verification of electrical systems and study results
• Documentation and engineering work related to DNV requirements/classification
