Job summary

Nexans in Oslo, Norway, is seeking a Geographical Information System (GIS) Engineer to join our Marine Installation/Marine Engineering function. The role focuses on managing GIS data for subsea cable projects and ensuring data consistency for safe, efficient offshore operations.

You will collaborate with survey, marine engineering, operations and client representatives to design routes, prepare GIS data for offshore activities and contribute to as-built documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience with GIS tools and data management in marine/offshore projects.
• Familiarity with survey data, route definition and marine operations is a plus.
• Ability to work with engineers, operations teams and suppliers in international settings.
• Strong attention to detail and safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the GIS engineering scope in assigned projects.
• Coordinate GIS data with survey, marine and project teams.
• Provide route coordinates and GIS-based reporting for offshore activities.
• Produce as-built documentation and support data deliverables.
