Nexans is seeking a Geographical Information System (GIS) Engineer for our Marine Installation/Marine Engineering team in Oslo, Norway. You will manage GIS data, coordinate across survey, marine, and operations, and support safe, efficient cable installation routes.

Qualifications

• Experience with GIS tools and data management.
• Familiarity with survey data and marine operations is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, operations teams and suppliers to translate project needs into robust GIS solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up the GIS project and ensure a robust structure for all spatial data.
• Import, process and transform survey data into the GIS system per project requirements.
• Issue cable route coordinates and Route Position Lists (RPL).
• Publish geographical data for other disciplines and clients.
• Support GIS-based reporting and project documentation.
• Coordinate with survey, marine, operations and subcontractors.
