Kongsberg Maritime in Norway seeks an experienced Naval Architect to join the Ship Design Solutions team. You will contribute to design leadership, general arrangements, and performance documentation for advanced vessels, including decarbonization-focused projects.

You bring a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Naval Architecture, about 5 years of relevant experience from shipyards or consultancies, and proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Rhino, or Star-CCM+ is a plus.

Formación

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or related field.
• Around 5 years of relevant experience from a shipyard, classification society, or consultancy.
• Fluent in English; primary working language for projects.

Responsabilidades

• Design leadership for dedicated customer projects and R&D programs, managing teams as required.
• Take primary responsibility for General Arrangements, vessel specifications, and performance documentation from initial meetings through contract.
• Engage with ship owners, yards, and classification societies to understand market trends and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to bid/no-bid evaluations and tender documentation with technical expertise.
• Drive innovation in offshore, navy, and unmanned vessels.
