Job summary

Charity People is partnering with a leading healthcare charity to recruit a Temporary Community Fundraising Coordinator in London. Hybrid role with two days in the office, full-time hours, and a December-focused workload including the Christmas Grotto.

You will support the Community Fundraising team by handling enquiries, stewarding fundraisers, managing inbox activity and delivering excellent supporter care throughout a busy period.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a fundraising environment
• Excellent supporter care or customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence communicating with supporters by email and phone
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
• Experience using fundraising databases/CRM systems is helpful
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge / NXT is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Community Fundraising inbox and respond professionally
• Provide supporter care and stewardship to fundraisers
• Support new fundraisers as they begin their journey
• Build positive relationships and help deliver an excellent supporter experience
• Assist with fundraising materials and supporter requests
• Provide day‑to‑day admin and operational support
• Help manage priorities during busy periods
• Support Leads with activity and communications
• Collaborate with colleagues across fundraising and supporter care
• Maintain accurate supporter data in databases
• Provide hands‑on support for Christmas Grotto in December
• Develop processes and response templates as needed
• Support the team as priorities evolve
