Job summary

Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Buyer to drive procurement initiatives across hospital departments in a fast-paced setting. You will manage corporate contracts, advise partners through process design to contract administration, and ensure compliance with public sector directives.

The role requires a college diploma or university degree in Purchasing/Materials Management, 3–5 years in a buyer role, and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field.
• OPBA/CSCMP/APICS certification or working toward asset.
• 3–5 years of direct Buyer experience in healthcare preferred.
• Experience with Meditech is an asset.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Advanced MS Office skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer procurement activities for corporate contracts.
• Lead internal stakeholders through procurement processes from design to contract administration.
• Ensure purchases comply with BPS directives and CMH policies.
• Prepare and issue complex bid solicitations and evaluate bids.
• Maintain requisitions and identify opportunities for contracts.
• Develop specifications with internal partners.
• Attend site meetings and manage contract tracking and renewal.
• Manage capital lists and vendor KPI reporting.
• Collaborate with AP to resolve exceptions.
