Job summary

Lady Of The Sea Medical Clinic seeks a FULL-TIME Materials Coordinator to support the Materials Management team. You will assist with procurement, supplier evaluation, quotes analysis, and price negotiations for supplies and equipment across hospital campuses.

You will receive, store, stock and distribute materials, while maintaining inventory levels to minimize shortages. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• 2–4 years buyer experience in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of Louisiana Public Bid Law preferred.
• Healthcare inventory control experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all vendors and manufacturers.
• Able to work independently or as a team member.

Responsibilities

FULL-TIME Materials Coordinator in Materials Management

Purpose

To assist the Manager of Materials in all aspects of the job, which includes the procurement of supplies, services and equipment after reviewing specifications, selecting potential suppliers, securing and analyzing quotes, negotiating price, and delivery. The position is also responsible for physically and electronically receiving, storing, stocking and distributing all supplies, equipment, mail and packages while ensuring inventory levels and minimizing shortages for hospital main campus and all surrounding campuses.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Two to Four years buyer experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Louisiana Public Bid Law preferred.
• Healthcare inventory control experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all vendors and manufacturers.

Working Conditions
