Job summary

MacGregor seeks a Purchaser in Kristiansand, Norway, to support project purchasing and help monitor item budgets. The position reports to the Manager, Purchasing and is located onsite in Kristiansand. Bachelor-level education and 2–5 years in purchasing or logistics are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of purchasing, logistics, or supply chain experience.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a daily purchasing contact for assigned projects
• Assist in monitoring project item budgets and support monthly deviation reporting to the project manager
• Maintain accurate supplier data and updated prices in the ERP system
• Process purchase requisitions, place POs, follow up on deliveries, and assist with basic price negotiations
• Support the handling of Free Issued Items (FII) to ensure on-time delivery to the production site
• Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings
• Log and follow up on basic supplier claims regarding quality, scope, or delivery issues
• Work towards achieving individual KPIs and contributing to overall department goals
