Job summary

Essentia, the operational and infrastructure delivery group of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, seeks an experienced Engineering Compliance Manager to ensure statutory and mandatory building and engineering requirements are met across its healthcare estate. You will provide assurance across in-house teams and contractors, escalating issues and facilitating remedial action.

The role requires a strong engineering background, knowledge of health and safety legislation, HTMs and water

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering compliance management within a complex healthcare estate.
• Strong governance, auditing, inspections, risk reporting and regulatory readiness track record.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance over in-house and contracting partner services to ensure safe, compliant estate operations.
• Identify gaps, escalate concerns and support effective remedial action.
• Ensure compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements and Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs) and water safety where relevant.
• Communicate complex technical matters clearly to operations teams and senior stakeholders.
