PrimeDefense USA is seeking a highly skilled Head Chef to lead our Svalbard kitchen. You will oversee all kitchen operations, design menus, manage inventory, and ensure consistent, high‑quality meals for guests.

The role demands strong leadership, exceptional communication, and a passion for culinary excellence. You must train staff, maintain safety standards, stay on top of trends, and collaborate with management on budgeting and events, including weekends and holidays.

Formación

• Proven experience as Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
• Extensive knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and safety standards.
• Strong leadership and ability to inspire and motivate staff.
• Excellent communication to train staff and collaborate with management.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Creativity in developing new dishes while honoring traditional favorites.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid food handler's certification.

Responsabilidades

• Develop menus that are innovative, diverse, and cater to customer preferences.
• Manage food inventory and ordering to ensure timely availability of ingredients.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes to maintain consistency in all dishes served.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times.
• Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control measures, and special events planning.
• Keep up-to-date with culinary trends and incorporate them into menu development.
