Job summary

Elkem ASA Technology seeks a Technology Manager Automation to act as corporate discipline authority for industrial automation and control systems. You will drive harmonization, standardization, and continuous improvement across Elkem’s production sites and projects in Norway.

Qualifications

MSc in Automation, Cybernetics, Control Systems Engineering or similar with at least 10 years of relevant industrial experience.
Strong technical expertise in industrial automation systems including PLC, DCS, SCADA, and lifecycle management.
Good understanding of process safety, HSE requirements and safety-related automation functions.
Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language, preferably Norwegian.

Responsibilities

Act as corporate discipline advisor and assurance function for IACS, providing technical guidance and solution reviews for plants and projects.
Drive harmonization, standardization and implementation of automation best practices across Elkem with technology roadmaps.
Collaborate with production sites and operations to identify automation needs and opportunities to improve safety, reliability and performance.
Oversee lifecycle management, modernization of legacy systems, and safety-related automation requirements in cooperation with safety resources.
Contribute to Elkem's digitalization journey by delivering robust automation solutions and mentoring colleagues.
