Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced End-User IT Support specialist in Norway to be the single point of contact for workplace technology needs. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and mobile devices while ensuring a seamless employee experience.

Responsibilities include asset management, provisioning, and onboarding/offboarding activities. The role emphasizes rapid issue resolution, user enablement, and driving down Service Desk tickets, with a focus on Norwegian and English

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive end-user IT support as a single point of contact for workplace technology needs. Responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and mobile device issues while ensuring a seamless employee experience. Manage IT assets and inventory, including device provisioning, deployment, technology refreshes, repairs, and onboarding/offboarding activities. Maintain accurate asset tracking and stock levels through centralized systems. Drive user enablement by offering guidance on workplace technologies, promoting self-service tools, and delivering rapid issue resolution to minimize Service Desk tickets and deskside support requirement

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-User Support
  • Provide walk-in support for employee IT issues
  • Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Support OS installations, upgrades, and configuration.
  • Handle password, connectivity, and workplace technology issues.
  • Asset & Inventory Management
  • Manage IT vending machines and digital lockers
  • Issue and collect laptops, peripherals, loaner devices, and accessories
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and stock levels.
  • Track asset movement through centralized systems.
  • Device Lifecycle Activities
  • Device provisioning and deployment.
  • Technology refresh activities
  • Hardware replacement and repair coordination
  • Device collection during employee onboarding/offboarding
  • User Experience & Enablement
  • "one-stop shop" for IT support.
  • Improve employee experience through quick resolution.
  • Provide guidance on workplace technologies and self-service tools.
  • Reduce Service Desk tickets and deskside visits through immediate support
Prerequisites
  • Strong service mindset
  • Strong business understanding
  • Experience on preferably several of technological domains: Servers & Storage, Communication Technology, and Managed Desktop Services
  • Deep problem solving capabilities with in-depth understanding of technology and business interface (Senior Engineer)
  • Experience and knowledge of local application portfolio
  • Good understanding of IT Service Management processes and practices
  • Good communication skills in local language, combined with adequate written and spoken English language capabilities
