Job summary

IKM Consultants AS seeks a seasoned Commissioning System Responsible Telecommunication to lead planning, execution, and supervision of completion and commissioning for offshore and onshore systems. You will provide engineering input, manage documents, and ensure HSSE-focused execution.

Responsibilities include coordinating with multiple disciplines, leading a team of engineers and technicians, and ensuring a smooth project-to-operations transition with PIMS usage and rigorous documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas.
• Direct experience from NORSOK projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
• Strong knowledge of system-based commissioning.
• Proven ability to lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians.
• Familiarity with PIMS and document management systems.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Language: English and Norwegian.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering input for commissioning activities.
• Estimate and plan commissioning scope onshore and offshore for designated systems.
• Plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
• Participate in punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
• Develop and implement commissioning procedures.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient commissioning with HSSE emphasis.
• Identify risks and opportunities related to commissioning.

Job description

The Commissioning System Responsible Telecommunication is responsible for the planning, execution and supervision of Completion and Commissioning activities for designated systems related to the delivery and integrationof the Project. Telecommunication responsible are also responsible for discipline input to systems connected to and controlled by designated systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

• -Contribute in the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
• -Provide engineering input
• -Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plan.
• -Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
• -Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
• -Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
• -Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures.
• -Coordinate and Interact with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
• -Identify and follow up risks and opportunities related to commissioning.
• -Plan and call off ATS as and when required.
• -Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services
• -Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
• -Plan and ensure first fills are available in timely fashion and perform first fills.
• -Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve Aker BPs expectations.
• -Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
• -Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
• -Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
• -Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operation.
• -Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.

Required expertise

• -Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• -Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• -Direct experience from NORSOK projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
• -Strong knowledge and understanding of system-based commissioning.
• -Proven ability to lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians.
• -Familiarity with Project Completions Systems (PIMS is an advantage) and document management systems.
• -Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Language: English and Norwegian
• Location: Stord, Norway, with required offshore work
• Work schedule: Full-time; starts with a normal dayshift, then transitions to a 2/3 rotation, including offshore periods.
• Duration: Assignment from September 2026 to September 2027.
