Job summary

IKM Consultants AS is seeking a commissioning specialist to plan, supervise, and execute activities for complex systems. You will contribute expertise in HMI and process control, and help develop procedures. The role emphasizes HSSE, documentation review, and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

The position involves on-site work from Stord with mobilization to Stavanger and offshore sites, for a temporary assignment June 2026 to December 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field; extensive relevant experience may be considered equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience.
• Proven experience on NORSOK projects and system-based commissioning.
• Knowledge of cyber security requirements.
• Extensive experience with process control and control room operations is highly desirable.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and supervise commissioning activities for designated systems and equipment.

• Participate in MC punch-outs and FATs at supplier locations.
• Ensure a smooth transition of the plant and equipment to the operations team upon completion.

• Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.
• Contribute to the review and verification of project documentation and drawings.
• Coordinate with various disciplines to ensure efficient and safe execution with a strong focus on HSSE.
• Plan and execute commissioning activities according to project timelines.

• Participate in MC punch-outs and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at supplier locations.
• Ensure a smooth transition of the plant and equipment to the operations team upon completion.

Required expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field; extensive relevant experience may be considered equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commissioning.
• Proven experience from NORSOK projects.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of system-based commissioning.
• Familiarity with project completion systems; experience with PIMS is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cyber security requirements.
• Extensive experience with process control and control room operations is highly desirable.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Language: English and Norwegian

Location: The position has a base location onshore in Stord, with required mobilization to a construction site in Stavanger and subsequent offshore work.

Work schedule: Full-time

Duration: Temporary assignment from June 2026 to December 2027.
